We offer a popular option for couples who want to meet us, but one or both are hesitant to commit to active treatments. They may have been trying to conceive for only six months or less and are hoping another few months will work. Often husbands feel medical treatment would be too soon or are unnecessary, while wives may be anxious, hurting each month, and afraid that time is running out. Sometimes they have been referred by their physician, friends or relatives who previously saw Dr. Stoelk, or by an acupuncturist, yet they are fearful that the only option to be suggested will be IVF. Some have heard stories about “raging hormones” causing marital stress and others have heard inaccurate estimates of very inflated costs. Many have not had success in another fertility clinic and might want to start over with Dr. Stoelk.
For any of these circumstances, we offer a short free assessment. Dr. Stoelk will ask just a few questions, present a probable treatment game plan with a good idea of success and costs, and answer the most urgent question or two. There is no cost, no paperwork, and no commitment.
Many are ready to set up a new patient appointment, and at that time a full consultation with testing and treatment will begin.
It is important to be clear that this is only a free quick assessment, not an official new patient visit, and it will not constitute a patient-physician relationship. Again, there is no cost.
This short visit is not appropriate for the couples who already want to become patients and want to get a full game plan underway as soon as possible.
